Spain is a land rich in culture, history, and beauty, and every city in Spain has elements that make it unique. Barcelona is known for its splendid modernist architecture, the lively boulevard of Las Ramblas, and excellent designer clubs partnered with a vibrant nightlife. Madrid, one of the most expensive cities in the world, is the home of thousands of bars and terrazas and three of the world's finest art museums. Sevilla is the home of flamenco. Valencia is a vivacious Levantine city with an arts scene and nightlife to equal any European rival. Finally, there's Bilbao. Bilbao has recently become a popular tourist destination because of its astonishing Guggenheim museum. Amazing architecture is present in every city and town of Spain with cathedrals, castles, and moors that represent the many ancient cultures that at one time occupied the land of Spain. Spain also has a varied and beautiful landscape: from the beaches on Spain's coast to the deserts of Almeria, and from the wine and olive fields of Levante to the mountains that cover a large portion of Spanish land.
